Promoted to Group Chief AI Officer at Zühlke

I believe the next competitive edge isn’t AI itself, it’s the organisation around it. As Chief AI Officer at Zühlke, I work with C-level leaders to build enterprises that sense, decide, and adapt continuously. 20+ years turning this conviction into practice.

Effective 1 May 2026, the Zühlke Group has introduced two new roles at group level: a Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a Group Chief AI Officer (CAIO). I have taken on the Group CAIO role; my long-time colleague Raphael Reischuk has been appointed Group CTO. Both of us were already partners in the group.

As Group CAIO, I am responsible for shaping Zühlke’s AI strategy across all industries and locations — from operating model to platform to delivery. The aim is straightforward: to help our clients turn AI into measurable business outcomes, not just demos. It connects directly to the conviction I keep coming back to: the next competitive edge isn’t AI itself — it’s the organisation around it.

“Our mission at Zühlke is clear: AI transformation that creates measurable progress for our clients. The decisive lever is not more pilot projects, but the controlled use of AI agents. What matters is governance designed around this, an operating model developed around AI, and a clear goal to empower colleagues rather than replace them. Organisations that realign themselves in this way turn AI potential into real value creation, and this is exactly where I want to work with our clients.”

Group CEO Gregor Bieler put the broader picture this way:

“Technology in general, and artificial intelligence in particular, decide more than ever which companies will still be relevant tomorrow. With Raphael Reischuk and Romano Roth, we have two people in our ranks who have actively shaped this development in Switzerland and internationally for years, who hold a clear point of view, and who are at the same time close to delivery.”

Thank you to the team and to Zühlke for the trust. I am looking forward to the next phase — and to working with our clients on AI transformations that move the needle.
